Alfalfa YouTube Finalist

Nov 20, 2015

We are excited to announce that our Alfalfa IPM YouTube video titled, “Identification of parasitized alfalfa caterpillars and armyworms”, was a finalist in the annual national Entomological Society of America YouTube Contest this week in Minneapolis, MN.

This video shows how to monitor alfalfa insect pests and their natural enemies to help make informed management decisions on pest control in alfalfa production. Step-by-step instructions are presented on how to identify parasitized caterpillars under field conditions and how to use this information for managing caterpillar pests, to help reduce pesticide use and production costs in alfalfa.

Take a look at this 2.4-minute Alfalfa IPM video that was produced in the summer of 2015 and share with others that might be interested. The link is: https://youtu.be/8_9zpYyY7Ig.
