Master Gardener Educational Workshops and Events

Sequoia Chapter of the California Rare Fruit Growers

Sequoia Chapter of the California Rare Fruit Growers
The Sequoia Chapter of CRFG and the Ornamental Horticulture club at College of the Sequoias invite you to our annual scion exchange. Come and learn how to graft your own fruit trees from Walter Thoma and other experts. Event is free to enter. Scion wood will be available for free. Rootstock will be available for purchase for $5 each. All proceeds will be donated to the COS Ornamental Horticulture Club. Peach, nectarine, cherry, apricot, plum, pluot, persimmon, apple, and pear scion wood will be available for grafting. Grape, pomegranate, berry, and fig cuttings will be available for rooting purposes. You are welcome to bring any fruiting plant scion wood or cuttings (pencil sized thickness preferred) that you would like to share. Please make sure it is clearly labeled and stored in gallon zip lock bags. We don't bring any citrus budwood to these events because of the Asian psyllid.

Date: Saturday March 7th Time: 9:00am-12:00pm

Location: College of the Sequoias Building B Address: 4999 E. Bardsley Ave. Tulare, CA
