2019 New Training Class in Fresno

Parking at UCMerced Building

All parking directly in front of the building and across from the building is reserved for visitors and non-building staff. The parking spaces in the front of the building which are marked “visitor,” can be used for all guests to the building, including Master Gardeners.

 

Although, not marked “visitor”, anything that is along the perimeter of the building is permissible for guests.

 

The back parking lot is for employees only.

Welcome New Master Gardener Trainees

Training will begin Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the UC Center, 550 E Shaw Avenue, Fresno, in the Inyo/Kern room, and will and continue for 16 consecutive weeks. Class is in session from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The training concludes on Thursday, April 18, 2018. Upon passing a final exam (broken into 2 segments) with a score of 70% or above, you will become a certified First Year Master Gardener. A celebratory lunch will be held the last day of class.

On the first day of class you will receive your textbook, a class schedule, class rooster and other pertinent information. You will also receive a temporary name badge. Plan to bring your textbook each week and be prepared to take notes.

Madera Master Gardener's Demonstration Garden is called the Three Sister's Garden 

Three Sister’s Garden at Madera Community College Center

(Parking on campus is available in 3 parking lots: Parking Lot A, Parking Lot B, and Parking Lot C. Daily parking lot passes are available for $1.00 from our parking lot kiosks.)

Most MG work in the garden on Tuesday around 9:00 am You are welcome to stop by and see what is going on the garden.
